Words cannot “espresso” how thankful we are to have so many amazing coffee shops less than 15-minutes away from us here at The Hat @ East Village. No seriously, you need to check all of these places out because they are fa”brew”lous. Okay, we’ll stop with the coffee puns now – but seriously, go grab a cup of jo from one (or all) of these cafes listed below:
GOOD EARTH COFFEE HOUSE

This family-owned coffee shop is literally just across the street from us here at The Hat @ East Village. They have great coffee, fresh food, create amazing coffee art which you can tell by their feed, and they even have a rewards program! What’s really cool about them is that if you check out their website, you can read about each type of coffee they serve and their farmers.

Phil & Sebastian were tired of drinking “crappy espresso” so they decided to create their own, and it is GOOD. Their EPIC STORY story is such an awesome read if you wanted to check it out on their website. You can shop their products online, or better yet their coffee is served at the Simmons Building which is less than a 5-minute walk away from The Hat @ East Village.

This high-end coffee bar is run by a family who have created a relaxing environment that is really just a perfect setting for you to take a break from your busy days. Make sure to check them out because they are also less than a 15-minute walk away from The Hat @ East Village.

Okay, we may have lied about all of the coffee shops being less than 15-minutes away because this one is 16, but trust us when we say the extra-minute walk is worth it. This is another family-run business that we love, and we love that they are so focused on giving the YYC community the best coffee they can find (and they do just that)! They’ve expanded with locations all across Calgary, and luckily for us, there is one just in Bow Valley Square.
